Beginner's Rug Hooking Lap Frame

Kit #1 - Channel Frame

Howard's new 12" x 12" channel top lap frame uses wood channels into which you can easily slide your rug hooking strips and remove them from the channel if need be.

Available in kit form as shown - it is perfect if you want to secure your strips without the use of adhesives or staples or need to change over to EH4CC or EH5CC gripper strips at a later date. The kit comes with pre-cut EH3CC gripper strips for burlap and/or primitive linen. You will only require a Phillips screw driver for assembly.

 

Kit #2 - Standard Frame

The standard 12" x 12" rug hooking frame is available in kit form as shown and includes pre-cut EH3CC gripper strips for burlap and/or primitive linen.

To assemble Kit #2 you will require a Phillips screw driver, contact cement and a heavy duty stapler. After fastening the four uprights to the base, fasten the gripper frame pieces to the uprights, then fasten the gripper strips to the frame using a non-water based contact cement as well as staples for the strongest placement. Cleaning brush shown in photo is an optional extra.
