Although we keep running out of display and storage space we always find room for more, with new products always on our radar screen.

JaggerSpun Zephyr . . .

2/18 put-up 1 lb cones and 1,200 yard mini cones - 50 colors.

4/8 put-up 1 lb cones and 255 yard pull skeins - 50 colors.

UKI Supreme . . .

We are happy to say that we have added UKI mercerized cotton to our yarn line up - 142 colors in 3/2, 5/2, 10/2 and 20/2 - put up is 6.5 ounce cones (5.5 ounce for 20/2). Keep in mind that this is in addition to our 16/2 , 8/2, 8/4 and 16/8 cotton yarn we currently stock in 79 colors. Another new line now on the shelves is Bamboodle, a 100% bamboo yarn in 28 gorgeous colors.

Brown Sheep . . .

has released two new lines that are now in stock - Shepherd's Shades (light bulky weight 100% wool in 55 solid colors) and Serendipity Tweed (light worsted weight 60% cotton / 40% wool in 25 colors).

To accommodate our new lines we are moving our 1 lb. coned yarn into the studio, however all colors will be on display in smaller quantities - just ask if you need coned yarns.

Where will it go . . . so far so good

A place for everything and everything in its place is my current mantra. We added 19 (final count) new display cases to accommodate the additions. Changes to the store are complete with stock being reorganized to allow for the new lines. New display shelving for our fiber collection is in place to help display over 40 different fibers.

More new stuff . . .

Silk painting was next on the list, and even though I said "I going to take a different approach to this - rather than order everything and sort it out later I'm working through the process from beginning to end - I'm really going to paint silk first". It didn't follow through and ordered everything anyway. I did, after the fact, manage to paint and steam one silk scarf on January 1, using Jacquard acid dyes without using citric acid or vinegar. What a fun process and such brilliant colors.

We carry dyes and silk scarves and now silk fabric, assa pins, suspension hooks, stretcher frames, squeeze bottles with stainless tips for resists, brushes, batik wax tools and more.
