Our policy regarding Privacy & E-mail is as follows:

Your privacy is our concern, not so much because it is required by Canadian Federal legislation but more, because it has and always will be our commitment to protecting our customers' privacy and personal information including such things as credit information, personal preferences, home addresses, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses and the like.

We do not share any information, and we keep all information provided to us in a safe and secure manner.

E-mail is an ongoing concern due to the amount of spam and virus laden messages that we receive and we suspect that you do as well. Every effort is made to identify and respond to legitimate messages, however, if you don't receive a response to your message within a reasonable amount of time please try again or better still, telephone us. We usually respond to all messages the same day or sooner. We do not send unsolicited messages to anyone at any time unless prior communication has been established.

Here is some information about how we deal with e-mail and internet security. Keep in mind that the internet is inherently insecure and we all need to do our part.

  • Our systems are protected with a fire wall and other security resources to reduce the risk of unauthorized access.
  • We scan both incoming and outgoing e-mail. Our systems are given a full scan on a regular basis. Virus definitions are updated daily and our software is updated when revisions are available.
  • Messages with attachments are deleted unless prior notice of intent is provided.

Probably the most important thing to remember is to never include credit card information in your message.

One last thing, spammers and virus authors are appending legitimate e-mail addresses to their messages to make it look like messages and attachments are coming from legitimate sources. It is usually fairly obvious but don't take chances. Never open an attachment unless it has been scanned and you know who it is from and further you knew it was being sent.
